Marina Bay City Announces First Hotel Development: Hotel K Lombok
Lombok, Indonesia – [Date] – Marina Bay City (marinabay.city), the landmark multi-billion-dollar project transforming South Lombok, has unveiled official plans for its first hotel development: Hotel K Lombok. Positioned lakeside, marinaside, and overlooking the beach, Hotel K will set a new standard in waterfront hospitality within the region.
Construction is scheduled to commence in less than 90 days, with completion expected in just six months. The project will be built by Wika Gedung, a publicly listed Indonesian construction company, leveraging its expertise in pre-modular building technology. The hotel’s prefabricated units will be manufactured off-site, then shipped and trucked directly to Marina Bay City, ensuring rapid delivery and precise construction.
A Milestone for Marina Bay City
Hotel K Lombok represents the first of many hotels planned for Marina Bay City, but as the initial hospitality centerpiece, it is set to establish the benchmark for the city’s future tourism infrastructure. Its location—nestled between the marina, a planned lake precinct, and pristine beachfront—was strategically chosen to maximize views, accessibility, and lifestyle appeal.
A Marina Bay City spokesperson commented:
“Hotel K Lombok will not only be the first hotel to rise in Marina Bay City, but also a showcase of modern, sustainable construction and luxury waterfront living. Its rapid six-month build highlights the efficiency of modular technology while delivering a premium product to meet the growing demand for high-quality accommodation in Lombok.”
Part of a Bigger Vision
Hotel K Lombok is one of several high-profile developments within Marina Bay City’s master plan. Other facilities recently announced include:
• A 10,000-seat sports stadium, designed to attract national and international sporting events.
• A 2,500-seat convention centre, built for large conferences, exhibitions, and concerts.
• A sports centre complex, aimed at supporting both local and international sports tourism.
All of these major civic and leisure developments are expected to commence construction next year, following the start of Hotel K Lombok.
Transforming South Lombok
Just 106 kilometers from Seminyak, Bali, Marina Bay City is envisioned as a new economic and tourism hub for Indonesia. With improved connectivity—including a planned high-speed ferry service linking Bali, Lombok, and West Sumbawa—the project is poised to accelerate Lombok’s rise as a global destination.
Hotel K Lombok marks the first step in delivering on this vision, combining speed of construction with world-class hospitality in one of Indonesia’s most scenic coastal locations.
