Marina Bay City Lombok Issues Fresh Warning to Buyers Amid Rise in Copycat Websites and Unauthorized Sellers
Lombok, Indonesia — Marina Bay City Lombok has once again issued a strong public warning to prospective buyers, stressing that anyone looking to purchase a villa or land within Marina Bay City must do so only through Marina Bay City directly, or through Lux Projects, the 100% owner of Marina Bay City following its recent buyout.
Lux Projects acquired full ownership of Marina Bay City Lombok after buying out KINRRA (K-I-N-R-R-A), the Asian real estate platform that previously held a stake in the project. Since the buyout, Lux Projects has taken complete control of management, sales, and development approvals for the city.
Only Three People Authorized to Issue Contracts
A Marina Bay City media spokesperson said it is absolutely critical for the public to understand that only three representatives are authorized to issue contracts relating to Marina Bay City Lombok.
These are:
•Warren Stokes
•Sean Strecker
•Brendan Roach
“No other person, agent, marketer, or developer has authority to issue contracts, accept deposits, or represent Marina Bay City in property transactions,” the spokesperson said. “If a contract is not coming through one of these three individuals, it is not a Marina Bay City contract.”
Warning Over Fake Websites and Facebook Pages
Marina Bay City also warned the public about unauthorized websites and social media pages that are allegedly being used to mislead buyers into believing they are purchasing in Marina Bay City when they are not.
Specifically, the company stated that:
•marinabaycity.com is an unauthorized website and does not represent Marina Bay City
•A Facebook page operating as “Marina Bay Lombok” is also unauthorized
According to Marina Bay City, these platforms are being used in bait-and-switch tactics, redirecting prospective investors into unauthorized nearby projects run by developers with no approval, no licensing, and no affiliation with Marina Bay City.
No Approval, No Permits, No Land Ownership
Marina Bay City emphasized that no developer is permitted to build within or around Marina Bay City unless they are formally approved, endorsed, and licensed by Marina Bay City itself.
“For clarity,” the spokesperson said, “unauthorized developers will not receive permits, and in many cases do not even own the land they claim to be selling—particularly in relation to so-called beachfront villas.”
The company said it has been informed that some parties are advertising villas on beachfront land they do not legally own, placing unsuspecting buyers at serious financial risk.
Official Channels Only
Marina Bay City urged buyers to verify all information and ensure they deal only through its official channels, which are:
•Official website: https://marinabay.city
•Official Facebook page: Marina Bay City Lombok
•Contracts issued only by: Warren Stokes, Sean Strecker, or Brendan Roach
“If there is any doubt, buyers should stop immediately and verify directly with Marina Bay City,” the spokesperson said. “No money should ever be paid to anyone claiming to represent Marina Bay City outside these official channels.”
Final Warning to Investors
Marina Bay City said it is issuing this notice in the strongest possible terms to protect the public and preserve the integrity of the master-planned city.
“The only legitimate way to buy in Marina Bay City Lombok is through Marina Bay City itself or through Lux Projects, the sole owner,” the spokesperson said. “Anyone dealing through unauthorized agents, websites, or Facebook pages does so entirely at their own risk.”
The company added it will continue taking steps to warn the public and address unauthorized impersonations as they arise.
